The 2020 monsoon season has caused massive landslides and floods in Sindhupalchowk, Nepal resulting in 100 houses being swiped away and displacing 100s of people that need support. The GrowByData team with the help of VCN (Volunteer Corps Nepal) – a non-profit Humanitarian and Development organization made an effort to alleviate the dire situation of the community affected by the floods.
As a part of our mission to give back to the community, we conducted a clothing and food drive for the flood victims. COVID-19 had made it especially tough for us to continue our philanthropic work regardless of our eagerness to help the community. But despite the difficulties, we managed to partner with VCN in getting relief aid in the form of clothing and food (noodles, rice, biscuits, etc.) to the flood victims of Sindhupalchowk. Our charitable efforts were able to provide some relief for 90 families affected by the disaster.
We would like to thank all the GrowByData team members for donating. And a big thank you to VCN’s Mr. Deepak Chapagain and his team for their continuous efforts to help the needy. We hope to continue working with VCN in the future as part of our CSR and giving back to the community endeavors.
